NE Portland Flowers and Bums (Photos)
Shot with Canon Powershot G7X MkII
I took a long walk around the block and saw some fun stuff. Before that, I took some photos of the birds at the birdfeeder and tried some new strategies to get a wing or flying shots. I used a flash with the 100mm lens but I was so close that the second I took a shot the bird would take off. It is just too dark to take great shots at this point. I traded out to the 150-600 Sigma and backed up from the bird feeder and set up a small Aputure light and put it as close to the feeder as possible but it only gave out so much light. I am going to get a much larger light and try that. I also saw a crackhead, some dudes smoking crack, and some pretty flowers on my walk.

Nihilism doesn’t exist. It is a paradox. If there is no meaning then the word nihilism can’t have any meaning and therefore nihilism doesn’t exist. If nihilism has a meaning then meaning exists and nihilism exists only as a paradoxical concept.

Anything will do.
Find one thing. Anything.
That’s the thing.
That’s everything.
Book Review: Born of Hatred by Steve McHugh
Steve McHugh's writing is down-to-earth and accessible in a way that makes for a smooth and enjoyable reading experience. The world he has created is fun and dynamic. I recommend this book on its own but especially as a continuation of the first book, Crimes Against Magic, and I'm excited to continue the series further. If you liked Crimes Against Magic or like supernatural fantasy action you will enjoy Born of Hatred.

I recently took a trip with my mom to Texas to visit my sister and dad. I was able to take a few small hikes and found some fun animals to take photos of. The trip was intended to visit with family and not to go out into the woods to find exotic wildlife but I am glad I was able to see the animals I saw. Also, my sister’s cat Sophia was there.
