Goslings at Blue Lake (Photos)

Blue Lake, Oregon

I had the day off so I decided to check out Blue Lake in Fairview, Oregon. Immediately I started getting eaten by mosquitos. I walked around a bit a saw a massive gaggle of geese which also contained a large number of goslings. I took a bunch of photos of these baby geese and a flower. Then I continued to walk around the lake but as I got closer to the lake I was attacked by a gross amount of mosquitos. I didn’t bring any bug spray so I said fuck it and turned around. I went back to my car and left. June sucks for mosquitos in areas with standing water where they lay their eggs. I’ll probably wait until July to go back to the lake.

Shot with Canon 80D

Sigma 150-300mm Contemporary and Canon 100mm Macro for the flower photo. Everything else was shot using the Sigma lens. This is only the second outing and I’m starting to learn how to wield this heavy long lens. It really lets you reach out to things you could never get with a 300mm lens.
