Blue Lake, Oregon

It was a bitterly cold day today but it was so sunny I knew I had to get out and use my camera. I hadn’t taken any photos in a while because of how busy I am and how shitty the weather is. Blue Lake is only a few miles from my house and I enjoy walking the park and seeing what I might find to shoot. Today was very fun. I walked the park as fast as I could and when I got to an out-of-the-way spot on the edge of the lake I sat down on a rock and propped my arms on a log and sat in 36-degree weather for nearly two hours. When I got up and walked back to the car my legs, feet, and face were numb and aching for the heat of the car. I got some sushi and went home to eat and edit. I usually take out any that are not sharp, or are redundant, or just not that good but I decided to put in anything I found interesting and edited. I tried to catch flying ducks but those shots were hard to get into focus. That lens is only so sharp in great conditions but overall I like these shots.
