Rhythm of War is the fourth book in the Stormlight Archive Series written by Brandon Sanderson. It is a tale of failures and discovery as the war for Roshar continues. The lines between foe and friend blur when members of the Parshmen faction start to question the God that compels them to engage in the centuries-long war. They seem to be winning the war, but at such a cost that some of them would be willing to do anything to end it for good. While the Parshendi see a subtle power struggle, the humans struggle with extensive doubt that they will be able to positively impact the war.

I am being purposely vague here because I don’t want to spoil the immense amount of surprises and revelations in this book. It is an intense ride where mysteries abound, and the road to uncovering truths is ever-expanding and intensely suspenseful. I love the world Brandon Sanderson has created, and the characters keep growing as they struggle internally and externally against terrible odds. The excitement builds and builds, and I was genuinely emotional at multiple points near the end. It isn’t perfect, but it is a lot of fun. If you’re already invested in this epic story, then I recommend continuing with Rhythm of War.
