Oak’s Bottom Wildlife Refuge
Oak’s Bottom is a great place to find wildlife, especially birds, and I wanted to test this lens out in the field. A lot of the day was under tall trees and in the shade. This made it harder to get sharp images as the ISO crept up, I couldn’t stop down the aperture very much, and I kept the shutter speed fairly slow as well. I kept the shutter speed around 1/320th. I couldn’t find almost any really sharp images out of a few hundred. And if they were sharp I fucked up on something else so couldn’t use the shots. Here are the best shots that I did get and they are all softer than I would like. I forgot the bring my monopod so this is all handheld.
