Portland SWAT searching for armed suspect near my house! (video/photos)
Was on my way home from laundry today when I found my street blocked off by tons of Portland Police vehicles. I went around the back way, parked my car, and ran to my apartment to get my camera. I spent about two hours hanging out on the sidewalk taking photos and videos to see what was going on. There were three SWAT trucks, multiple sheriff and Portland PD rigs, two drones, and around 30 officers surrounding a few blocks just north of Glisan St, where I live. It seemed intense at first but after a while, it didn’t seem like much was going on. They searched a few blocks of yards and parking lots in the area where they were looking for a man who had a gun and was causing trouble the night before. Read the KCBY article below for more on that. I’m glad it didn’t get crazier than it already was. It’s not every day that you see fully armed men right outside your door, although in Portland, Oregon it isn’t all that surprising.
