My Progress from One Year of Self Taught Guitar

After putting the violin aside and playing with a ukulele I started playing the guitar. Before a few years ago I hadn’t played any instruments since I was in elementary school, where I played the snare drum in the school band. I decided I wanted to try to learn to play so my mom gave me her violin from when she was in school and I spent a couple of years playing that but found that without regular instruction I wasn’t making much progress. I ended up getting a ukulele and found that it was much easier to make progress and learn songs and just have fun. After a while of playing the uke my friend, Joey Edwards gave me his electric guitar and I was immediately hooked. The guitar is versatile, sophisticated, and accessible. I have used Youtube, tabs, sheet music and Justin’s Guitar teaching course to learn.
